Terms and Conditions (in small print)
My sister brought one of them internet USB sticks a few weeks ago and she assumed that it was a one off payment of £43 and this is due to the way it was advertised. So she bought it with excitement because apparently life is boring without the internet. She and the kids used the USB for about 2 weeks than the internet stopped working!! She returned to the store and explained that it had stopped working.
The assistant at the store said ‘madam you have used all the hours, so you will have to wait for the hours to come back next month, which will cost you another £43. She now understood that it was not a one off payment of £43 it was £43 per month with insufficient hours!! She argued that she was not explained properly at the time of purchase but the assistant insisted that she should have read the TERMS and CONDITIONS (in small print) before agreeing to purchase.
When I buy things I always forget or totally ignore to read the terms and conditions. WHY? Because it’s in bloody small print, there’s always a lot to read and I just can’t be bothered. But the trouble with that is you get yourself into situations without realising.
I hear a lot of women and men saying to their partners ‘well if I knew you were like this than I would not have approached you’ examples:
• If I knew you were such a womaniser I wouldn’t have given you the time of day
• If I knew you were such a gold digger I wouldn’t have made you my girlfriend
• If I knew you’d laze around the house all day I wouldn’t have bothered moving in with you
• If I knew, if I knew, if I knew (if you have your own add to the list)
Just like we need to read the terms and conditions of items to understand exactly what we are buying, we also need to read and understand the people we invite into our hearts before we let them in. It bugs me that the terms and conditions are in small print but it’s pretty obvious why that is. Well I think a lot of terms and conditions include points that may turn customers away from buying the product so they make it rather impossible and irritating to read so there not read at all, until something goes wrong, but buy that time its already too late because you have already bought the product. Be careful with the way people advertise themselves, we all have bad points and try to cover or hide them but some people totally become some one new once the relationship is official and that can be dangerous.
Prevention is better than cure they say so lets start reading these terms and conditions. Even if it takes a long time lol, READ IT, UNDERSTAND IT, THAN DECIDE. If we apply these rules to the relationships we form than I truly believe that we won’t have so many broken relationships and hearts!!
My sister should have read and understood those terms and conditions!! Just because life may be boring without the internet does not give her the excuse to rush out and buy something she didn’t fully understand. Life may seem boring without a girlfriend or boyfriend but it’s not worth the rush! You can imagine that the USB stick situation only annoyed my sister, it did not break her heart but getting into a rushed relationship without understanding can completely break someone’s heart. Ladies and gentlemen I believe its time to start guarding our hearts!!
Today’s message is: read the terms and conditions to guard your wallet and your heart.
If you’ve made a mistake with you heart than just pick your self up, Put your heels on and absorb your confidence!!
